Cv International Releases WINDKIT -- Addresses EHS Concerns and Reduces Servicing Costs During Wind Turbine Maintenance
Siemens and Vestas Adopt to Improve Servicing and Reduce Turbine Head Damage
BEND, OR--(Marketwire - October 03, 2012) - Cv International (http://cvintl.com) announced today the release of WINDKIT, a portable nitrogen servicing solution. The WINDKIT addresses the safety and productivity concerns of maintenance technicians supporting wind turbine maintenance. Technicians, who have had to haul large nitrogen cylinders averaging 140 pounds to the turbine nacelles, have been exposed to both the risk of injury and the potential to damage expensive turbine components. Utilizing long service lines can result in a dilution of the purity and pressure of the nitrogen in travelling up to 300 feet to the turbine. The regular servicing of accumulators requires the ability to deliver pure nitrogen at pressures up to 4,500 PSIG.
